Annapurna puja is the oldest occasion celebrated in Guru Ganga Old Age Home Dakshineswar Kolkata. It was started by Late Shiva Rani Devi (mother of Sri Sukumar Bhattacharjee) in the year 1966-67. Thakur Sri Sri Bhajan Bramhachar Baba himself along with his disciples used to come in Shiba Dham (later known as Guru Gange) to attend Annapurna puja. The old rituals and proceedings are still maintained in the Annapurna puja of Guru Ganga Old age Home in Dakshineswar.

At first the Guru Puja is done on the morning of the Annapurna Puja. Then the actual Annapurna Puja takes place and this is followed by Kumari Puja. Lunch arrangements are made for people coming to the occasion. The very next day Ramnabami Puja is carried out and then it is followed by the Annapurna Puja Bijoya Puja rituals.
Our Guruji Thakur Sri Sri Bhajan Bramhachari Baba used to say that if anyone takes the bhog or food of Maa Annapurna Puja he/she will never suffer from dearth of fooding or clothing. This is why we are genially inviting you all to be present in the occasion.
Annapurna Puja is celebrated according to the tithi. This is why there is no particular fixed date of the Puja. All of you are requested to call us in the number +91-33-25645675 and confirm the correct date & time of the Annapurna Puja.
